Who we are

No Subcontractors. Ever.

Aspen Floor & Home Services is a locally owned, owner-operated flooring contractor based in Thornton, Colorado, working across the Denver metro for homeowners, property managers and commercial clients.

The same crew that quotes the work is the crew that does it — Álvaro Medrano, the owner, is on every job site personally. There are no subcontractors on an Aspen project, which is the simplest reason the work comes out consistent.

Why it matters here

Wood Behaves Differently at 5,280 Feet

Denver is dry and high, and indoor humidity along the Front Range often drops near 20% in winter. Wood that was fine in the warehouse shrinks, gaps and cups once the heating comes on.

Twenty years of working only in this climate is what tells us which species to recommend, how long to acclimate a delivery and when a floor needs a full sand instead of a recoat.
